Recent industry disruptions, like digital insurance and e-insurance, also created a growing need for a more personalized, digital strategy to reach its customer base. Ameritas leaders knew they first needed to eliminate data silos before they could build a unified, cross-channel marketing strategy.
Ameritas brought in Bluewolf for its Salesforce implementation and data migration expertise, with the immediate goal to migrate one business unit from Oracle Marketing Cloud to Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Bluewolf developed a project roadmap, a Bluewolf Blueprint™, that outlined a phased approach to ensure data integrity through the consolidation of five different Sales Cloud instances into one–unifying disparate data, eliminating duplicative data, and optimizing Marketing Cloud with new, clean data that would enable Ameritas to deliver relevant content to the right customers at the right time.
Ameritas now has a dedicated Salesforce Center of Excellence (COE) team that is prioritizing the projects suggested in the roadmap.
Ameritas immediately realized $200,000 from sunsetting Oracle Marketing Cloud and is well into the process of bringing its entire business onto one unified sales and marketing platform. This platform provides the customer data they need to create targeted campaigns and glean insights into their customers’ needs and wants.
Now the company’s employees are able to benefit from Salesforce Lightning and can see continual improvements due to frequent releases and updates. In addition, Ameritas is more efficiently managing the business as a whole, which saves money, increases reporting capabilities, and creates a better onboarding experience for their employees and agents.
