Dreamforce is fast approaching. The countdown is racing past in the Bluewolf office as we put the finishing touches on booths and The State of Salesforce Report. If there’s one thing that we’ve learned from Dreamforces past, it’s that the event itself goes by even faster than the weeks leading up to it. Amidst the travel, sessions, meetings, and taking in the beautiful views of San Francisco, it can be easy to lose track of the motivations that brought you to the conference in the first place. Here are our top strategies for getting the most out of your time at the ultimate conference for customer experience.
Step Out of Your Comfort Zone
The best ideas often come when someone views things from someone else’s perspective. While you’re building your agenda this year, pick at least one session that will take you out of your comfort zone or isn’t specifically related to your role. If you’re a marketer, attend an interesting session on customer service with Salesforce. This is the week to learn something new and get a few big ideas.
Connect with Your Customers
We’re constantly talking about how integral customer experience is to success with Salesforce. There will be a lot of that at Dreamforce, but don’t just listen, take the opportunity to connect with your own customers. Search for them in the app and use the common ground of Dreamforce to discuss improvements to the customer experience. Even if your customers aren’t at the show, share your challenges and ideas with fellow attendees, you’re likely to get more specific advice and stories than anything you see on stage.
Get Industry Specific
Salesforce’s maturity has grown exponentially from year to year, especially when it comes to building industry-specific software solutions. This year we’re excited to see advancements in how Salesforce will continue to be utilized in Health and Life Sciences, Telecommunication, and more. Dreamforce draws some of the biggest leaders in each of these industries to talk about the current obstacles and possible solutions in the industries of our world. Whether you have a chance to attend a session with one of these thought-leaders or are lucky enough to speak with them individually, take full advantage. Ask questions and really think through how their ideas can be distilled into applications in individual customer moments.
