Warner Music Group, Verimatrix and Nextep recognized for employee and customer engagement innovations
New York, NY – August 8, 2017 – Global consulting agency Bluewolf, an IBM Company, today announced its winners of the 2017 The Future Now Awards. The award celebrates companies that are leading the innovation of customer and employee experiences with Salesforce. The Future Now Awards winners are recognized as creative leaders who are committed to business transformation and go above and beyond their customers’ expectations.
Selected from hundreds of submissions from around the globe, the three winners were chosen by a panel of Salesforce innovation experts based on their implementation and approach to leveraging Salesforce solutions, and the associated business results.

- Marketing of The Future Now: Warner Music Group
Warner Music Group (WMG) is a multinational music and entertainment company. With live touring being a significant activity in artists’ careers, WMG knew that it was crucial to let fans know whenever their favorite artists are in town. The company wanted to build a fully scalable, automated email program to keep information relevant for fans, and give their employees more time to focus on other programs. WMG integrated its events listing API with Salesforce Marketing Cloud to create geo-targeted campaigns that provide personalized information to fans through email communications. Since launching, WMG has delivered a targeted and relevant music experience between fans and their favorite artists, driving both customer engagement and ticket sales.
- Sales of The Future Now: Verimatrix
Verimatrix secures revenue for multi-network, multi-screen video services around the world. Its Sales team looked to improve sales processes by eliminating its inefficient, manual way to track quotes, orders, and revenue recognition. The company implemented Salesforce CPQ within Salesforce Community Cloud for their sales partners to bundle products and quote commonly-sold systems together with ease, accuracy, and traceability. In reducing the time between quotes and orders–from a week to only a few hours–Verimatrix streamlined the customer experience, which enabled the company to sell products on a global scale.
- Service of The Future Now: Nextep
Nextep offers Professional Employer Organization (PEO) services and long-term benefits strategies to small and medium-sized companies. The company was increasingly challenged with accurately integrating data between its backend system that supports industry-specific functionality, like payroll and HR, and Salesforce. Sending data back and forth between two disparate platforms created challenges in data quality and cleanliness, which hampered Nextep’s ability to provide the best experience for employees and customers. By integrating Salesforce Analytics Cloud with Salesforce Community Cloud, Nextep empowered customer administrations with more visibility and insights into their community employment data. This enabled customers to foster more meaningful relationships with their staff, fulfilling Nextep’s mission of “elevating the employment experience and enriching people’s lives.”
