United Way Turns to Bluewolf's Software for Two-Way Integration Between Salesforce.com and its In-House Database
Bluewolf's Integrator software enables United Way and its 1,300 local organizations to share information without coding or heavy involvement from IT.
New York & Alexandria, VA - Bluewolf (www.bluewolf.com), the leader in on-demand solutions for enterprise consulting, today announced that United Way of America is leveraging its Integrator(TM) product to complete two way integration between salesforce.com, the world's premiere on demand CRM system, and its in-house Microsoft SQL server database - eliminating costly maintenance and enabling easy sharing of data.
United Way of America is using the Bluewolf Integrator to take information on registrations, donations and volunteer work that has been captured through its website and automatically synch that information with Salesforce. Additionally, they are using the Integrator to ensure the latest membership data housed in Salesforce is easily viewable online through their website. Before using the Integrator, United Way of America used custom Java code to enable the two software applications to share information.
Now when local members of the United Way system can update information such as donor data, it is instantly updated in Salesforce at its headquarters in Alexandria, VA, as well as for its 1,300 United Way members locally.
According to Michael Pinck, Director of Application Management for United Way of America, "Being a non-profit, we needed to use our limited resources wisely. We were looking for a solution that we could take in-house and use ourselves. We are delighted not only by how simple the Integrator has been to configure and use, but also by Bluewolf's commitment to making us successful with this project."
"What is most compelling about United Way's use of our Integrator software is that they were able to implement it with a "do-it-yourself" approach," said Lou Fox, Bluewolf's Chief Architect. "United Way only needed minimal support from Bluewolf to set up and configure their integrations jobs, enabling them to stay within their budget restrictions. Their experience offers proof that the benefits of application integration are available today, not only to sophisticated global enterprises, but to not-for-profits as well."
"We're thrilled to help The United Way of America create positive change in the communities in which they work," said Clarence So, Chief Marketing Officer, salesforce.com. "The joint work we've done through the Salesforce.com Foundation with Bluewolf is helping The United Way deliver a common method for all their teams to track potential investors and opportunities, work with their major gift team, and maintain contacts and accounts."
Bluewolf's Integrator product has been used by several not-for-profits, including The Crissy Field Center, Points of Light Foundation and the salesforce.com Foundation. It allows businesses and non-profit organizations to quickly and efficiently integrate salesforce.com's CRM applicaiton with third-party applications and other web-based services such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase and mySQL databases. Additionally, ESI provides .csv file support for integration to older legacy systems.
Bluewolf's Integrator solution has helped hundreds of companies successfully deliver application integration to Salesforce. The Integrator is designed to be easy-to-use, with integration jobs created, configured, and managed through a series of GUI-based configuration screens, eliminating the need for coding or heavy involvement from IT. Pricing for the Integrator starts at $17,000 for an annual subscription (including 24/7 support), with qualifying non-profits receiving a 50% discount on the purchase price. More information on the Integrator is available at www.bluewolf.com/integration.
